ADA Paratransit Eligibility

ADA Paratransit Eligibility (via Disability Rights Education Defense Fund) has information to assist people with disabilities to obtain an accurate and fair ADA paratransit eligibility determination. Many people with disabilities who should be eligible for paratransit services according to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are denied eligibility because transit agencies are not accurately assessing their capacities.

Accessible Parking Etiquette

Accessible Parking Etiquette (via RTC/IL) explains the reason for access aisles and why they should not be misused. Provides helpful information for community education and advocacy. 

A Guide to Disability Rights

From ADA.GOV, this guide provides a detailed explanation of the legislation that protects the rights of people with disabilities.

From USA.GOV, information about the ADA, voter accessibility, and workplace discrimination and harassment.

Housing Help

From USA.GOV, resources on rental housing, home ownership, independent living skills, and complaining for people with disabilities.  

Disability Discrimination

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission provides information about disability discrimination and fact sheets on legislation protecting the workplace rights of people with disabilities. The EEOC also explains the employment rights of people with disabilities

IDEA Partnership

The IDEA Partnership provides guides to discussing matters of disability in education with various stakeholders. There are also collections of writings on best practices for working within the parameters of IDEA. 

The Advocacy Institute

The Advocacy Institute provides information about the impact of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act on students with disabilities. There is also a resource center for filing an effective state complaint under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
